In cold weather, a dry suit is the best solution for stand up paddle boarding. It completely protects you from water intrusion. If necessary, you can wear additional layers of warmth under it.
Starboard drysuits are made from Climacore material which is 100% wind and water resistant but has a breathable membrane to keep the body cool. The YKK Aquaseal zipper is 100% waterproof. It has latex cuffs on the ankles, wrists and neck, which seal 100% against water intrusion, but still offer comfort even for a longer period. The suit is even equipped with reflective materials for better visibility in poor conditions.
