Description

Bollé Cerro are high-performance photochromic ski goggles designed for skiers and snowboarders who want one pair of goggles for a wide range of light and weather conditions. The large cylindrical lens, semi-frameless construction and wide peripheral field of vision provide excellent visibility, while the photochromic technology automatically adjusts the lens tint according to changing light conditions. ⛷️

Sunrise Photochromic Cat. 1–3 – one lens for changing conditions

The key feature of the Cerro is the Sunrise Photochromic Cat. 1–3 lens. Its photochromic technology reacts automatically to the amount of available light: the lens becomes lighter in low-light conditions and darker as sunlight intensifies.

Visible Light Transmission (VLT) ranges from 45% to 10%, giving the goggles an exceptionally versatile operating range – from cloudy and lower-light conditions to bright, sunny days.

This means less need to change lenses when conditions alternate between clouds, shade and strong sunshine during the day. ☀️

What do lens categories mean?

CAT. 1 is suitable for cloudy conditions and lower light, CAT. 2 is designed for variable or partly cloudy conditions, while CAT. 3 is suitable for bright sunshine. The Cerro photochromic lens automatically adapts across these categories.

A lower VLT percentage means a darker lens that allows less visible light through, while a higher VLT means a lighter lens.

The photochromic lens is not intended for night skiing or use in complete darkness.

SLF Photochromic – clear vision and 100% UV protection

Bollé's SLF – Superior Light Filter technology combines effective light filtration, optical clarity and 100% protection against harmful UV radiation.

The amber base tint enhances contrast on snow, helping the skier identify terrain variations, bumps, changing snow texture and transitions between shaded and sunny areas more easily.

Large cylindrical lens and wide field of view

The Cerro features an oversized cylindrical lens designed to provide a broad horizontal and peripheral field of vision.

Improved peripheral visibility makes it easier to detect other skiers, terrain changes and obstacles. The semi-frameless construction also reduces the visual bulk of the frame and gives the goggles a clean, modern look.

Double Lens – improved resistance to fogging

The Double Lens construction creates an insulating layer of air between the two lens surfaces. This helps reduce the temperature difference between the cold outside air and the warmer air inside the goggles.

As a result, condensation and fogging are reduced.

The double lens works together with Bollé's Anti-Fog coating to further minimise moisture build-up on the inner lens.

An Anti-Scratch coating on the outer surface improves resistance to minor scratches during normal use.

Flow-Tech Venting – continuous airflow

Bollé's Flow-Tech Venting system uses strategically positioned ventilation openings to promote continuous airflow through the goggles.

Efficient evacuation of warm, humid air helps reduce fogging and maintain clear vision during more intense skiing and rapid changes in temperature. ❄️

Triple Density Foam – all-day comfort

Triple Density Foam adapts comfortably to the contours of the face and helps distribute pressure evenly.

This construction provides a secure and comfortable fit even during long days on the mountain while helping create an effective seal around the face.

The adjustable strap includes silicone elements on the inside to help prevent the goggles from slipping on a ski helmet. ✓

OTG Friendly – suitable for prescription glasses

The Bollé Cerro features an OTG – Over The Glasses design, allowing the goggles to be worn over many types of prescription glasses.

The deeper internal construction and adapted foam around the sides provide additional room for prescription frames and temple arms.

Safety and care

Inspect the lens, frame and strap before each use. Do not use the goggles if the lens is cracked, severely scratched or if any structural components are damaged.

Clean the lens using a soft cloth suitable for optical surfaces. Avoid rubbing the wet inner surface aggressively, as this may damage the Anti-Fog coating. After use, allow the goggles to dry naturally at room temperature and store them protected from scratches, excessive mechanical pressure and direct heat sources.

The photochromic lens automatically adjusts its tint according to available light but is not intended for night skiing or use in complete darkness.
