AMAZONAS Underquilt – thermal insulation for cold-weather hammock camping
Want to use your hammock in colder weather? The AMAZONAS Underquilt provides effective insulation from below and helps reduce body heat loss while sleeping in a hammock.
Its hollow-fibre polyester filling creates an insulating layer beneath the hammock, while the lightweight Ripstop construction makes it suitable for camping, hiking, bikepacking and other outdoor adventures.
Thermal protection down to approx. –5 °C
Recommended sleeping temperature range:
≥ –5 °C / 23 °F
When combined with a suitable sleeping pad or additional insulation, the Underquilt may also be used in colder conditions.
Actual warmth depends on factors such as air temperature, wind, humidity, sleeping bag, clothing and individual sensitivity to cold.
Quick and easy setup
Simply suspend the Underquilt beneath your hammock.
The included continuously adjustable suspension ropes and straps allow you to position the insulation correctly beneath the hammock.
Suitable for hammocks with a lying surface approximately:
250–300 cm long
Compatible with AMAZONAS Moskito hammocks
Four small T-toggles are attached to the upper sides of the Underquilt, with two on each side.
They can be connected to matching loops on:
- AMAZONAS Moskito hammocks
- AMAZONAS Silk Traveller Thermo
This helps keep the Underquilt securely positioned during the night.

Safety information
The Underquilt is intended as additional thermal insulation beneath a hammock and is not a substitute for an appropriate sleeping bag or other equipment required for cold-weather sleeping.
Inspect the fabric, seams, suspension ropes and straps before use. Do not use the product if it is severely damaged or torn.
Make sure the Underquilt is correctly positioned and does not interfere with the load-bearing parts of the hammock.
Keep the product away from open flames, camping stoves and other strong heat sources.
The ≥ –5 °C temperature rating is a guideline only. Actual thermal performance depends on environmental conditions, sleeping bag, clothing, wind, humidity and individual sensitivity to cold.
